Robin discovered her interest in Graphic Design and Marketing while Bartending in Calgary. She would discuss the science and psychology of the commercials on the TV with her customers that worked in Marketing. Why they used the colors they used, the choice in actors, even the clothes. They would discuss how every single detail was meticulously chosen to target the right demographic. Robin found it all fascinating and decided to pack her things and move to Vancouver where she graduated with her certificate in Graphic Design from British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2015. Robin has been working in the print industry for the last 4 years where she found a second passion, Print Project Management. Robin understands that designing for print is so much more than great design. It’s about the paper chosen, the finishing options and the print process. It takes understanding your clients needs to ensure you make the right choices for their project, it’s longevity and its effectiveness. Feel free to ask her about her paper sample collection - she loves to show it off! She has worked with a wide variety of clients, including small businesses, non-profits, hospitality and agriculture. She would love to design and support environmental and socially conscious businesses and organizations. The experience she gained from her over 10 years in the hospitality industry has given her a keen eye when it comes to design for events and signage. When Robin’s not working she can be found in the mountains of Interior BC camping and hiking with her Partner Aaron and her dog Trunks, or keeping on top of her Creative Problem solving skills working on her variety of passion projects she has on the go. Robin currently calls Kamloops, BC home. |
